We are pleased to share our latest episode of the Lexic Minds podcast. Oliver Moloney talks about his journey with dyslexia and his impactful work in training firefighters while championing neurodiversity in emergency services and the railway industry. As both a dyslexic individual and Chief of Training, Oliver shared his personal experiences, innovative teaching methods, and insights on supporting neurodivergent professionals in hands-on industries.
With this episode, we aim to inspire both neurodivergent individuals and organizational leaders to recognize and harness the unique strengths that dyslexic thinking brings to the workplace (thank you!).

β¨ Session's Highlights β¨
Learning Journey: "I was very fortunate that my mother was dyslexic... she really didn't know anything about homeschooling so she was a trailblazer... she was able to create scenarios where it was railway-based mathematics and I was able to excel."
Problem-Solving Strengths: "Most dyslexics, including myself, love problem-solving. I'm addicted to problem-solving... I love solving big problems, they're a lot of fun."
Workplace Diversity: "I think specifically in the fire service... I'd probably be willing to say that number is actually more like three out of five individuals are dyslexic. They are attracted to hands-on tasks, hands-on problem-solving."
Supporting Growth: "Instead of having them all at the very bottom because they can't pass a written test... encourage them to move up, find ways of getting them into leadership type positions where they're able to be creative."
