Dyslexic Talent: Steven Spielberg

This week we portray an international talent, famous for his cinematic talents, Steven Spielberg. He was diagnosed with dyslexia in 2007, when he was 65 years old. The diagnosis led him to understanding why he would struggle with reading and other activities in school, which also complicated the relations with his peers and teachers.

Note that the setbacks never stopped Steven from leading a successful career in cinema. The unique thinking and brilliant creativity is part of movies such as E.T., Jaws, Schrindler’s List, Jurassic Park, and many other iconic pieces. His dyslexic brilliance has been part of many of our childhood’s and inspired other directors in decades.

✨ A Journey of Success ✨

  • Steven Spielberg is a three-time Academy Award-winning director.

  • His movies have grossed more than $10 billion worldwide. Can you believe it?

  • He co-founded DreamWorks in 1994, studios which have brought movies like Shrek to life.

  • Fun Fact: Spielberg started as an unpaid intern in the editing department of Universal after not being admitted into USC.
